travel clothing

I get a few magazines that claim they sell "travel clothing." The models look very attractive in bright colors and often loose clothing. However, I have serious trouble finding clothing that matches my two highest priorities:

(1) POCKETS! Jeez, what is wrong with these designers?!  I don't care about color near so much as I care about being able to find a place on my person for my wallet, camera, PDA, travel book, maps and/or directions!  Actually having to find some sort of bag to carry these things is not what I want in my travel clothes.  Are these clothing manufacturers in cahoots with the pickpockets?!

(2)  "River wash warm or cool.  Hang on tree branch to dry.  Retrieve next morning."

You've probably already seen them, but I really like the clothing from TravelSmith. They have a decent selection of casual-professional clothing. There are fewer pocketed items in the women's section than the men's, but they do make them. And their wrinkle resistant clothing actually does what it claims! When they say you can wash something in a sink and dry overnight they mean it. They're pricey, but the suits and jackets have lots of pockets, inside and out, and are great for carrying everything you need safely without a bag or purse.

Actually, TravelSmith was one of the ones I was thinking of. Upon glancing back at their website, I do see that some of their blazers actually have extra pockets. Oddly, not always the blazers they advertise as "for Travel." But it is a minority. NONE of the "great for travel" dresses ever have pockets, and the slacks/pants seem to have only the usual number. They do have lovely colors, but as a company, they seem much focused on the evils of wrinkles than "where do I put my stuff?"

I can live with wrinkles. What I do not pack is a purse, and my clothing needs to take up the slack.
