Travel and checking luggage
Mar. 2nd, 2008 12:47 pmI travel a fair amount. Less than some, but a respectable amount. Usually I do not check luggage.
However, I looked over the last four years of my life. Of the trips that I did check luggage, 16% of the time it was "lost." I count it as lost if it did not arrive at the airport with me. It was always found before I left the country. However, not always before I (we) had extreme and urgent need if it.
The longest I have been separated from my luggage has been three days. This is why I avoid checking my luggage whenever possible.
