alone in Sydney
Aug. 6th, 2006 09:42 amT left me today. All alone. *sniff*
Trying to find the silver lining:
* I can drink from the tap.
* The food is OK. Marginally healthier than American food.
* Everyone understands me. Not in the metaphysical sense, just the literal comprehension.
* There is a movie theatre in walking distance. 17 screens.
* There are several bookstores in walking distance.
* I can read the signs and boxes! Although in Chinatown, that may have been bad. (Concentrated milk from a cow that had just given birth?! I did not need to know this.)
* My blisters are well on their ways to being healed. And I found a pharmacy with comprehensible items to help with blisters, in case I have a regression.
* My route to and from work every day involves a 30 minute ferry ride. Beautiful views!
